Jim Leisy Jr? Did he ever work there?

Sally said...

Peggy, he worked at Brooks/Cole, not Wadsworth. But I saw a few other B/C people here, such as Micky Lawler, so I thought it was appropriate to include him -- ?? Sally Schuman (B/C and Wadsworth). Up to the webmaster though!

Anyone who worked at any of the Wadsworth companies, for any period of time, and is no longer with us should on this list. Jim Leisy, Jr. is now on the list.

We should add Arthur Weber (international), Claire Verduin (b/c), and Lisa Gebo (b/c). Thanks.

That Wawey 101 comment above was really from me. Wawey (whoever that is) must have been signed on to Google. I'm using a different computer than I normally do. Oh dear.

Jim Leisy Jr.'s dates are 1950-2014.

From Sally Schuman: Joan Marsh should be added. I believe it was in 2017 or 18 that she passed away,

If the In Memoriam list can be updated, Jim Leisy, Jr. died in 2014, in Portland, OR. His dates are March 3, 1950-Mar 12, 2014. His company, Franklin, Beedle & Associates, still exists and is being run by his longtime partner, Tom Sumner.

I worked as a production editor for Wadsworth in Belmont in 1962 and Dickenson in Encino in 1968-69 (while understudying manufacturing w/ Bill Ralph in Belmont). Let's remember Elaine Linden, production editor of Dickenson, who passed away @2020 in Chicago.
